Home Made Chocolate Chip Cookies & Kids

Our daughter loves sweets, as do most children. My wife loves chocolate chip cookies and milk. Every once in a while the two of them make home made chocolate chip cookies which is a blast to see. You see, our five year old, well she has arrived. She has her mothers independence, her mother's I know it all attitude and to watch the two of them baking together is funny. As I'm writing this, I'm reminded of the Ginger Bread cookies with all the dressings that were as hard as cement after they came out of the oven. Thank God the chocolate chip cookies don't turn out that way. It's fun to spend quality time with the kids cooking cookies and then sitting around with them watching them dip them into milk.

Blessings are found in the simplest things that make a huge difference in the life of a child.

Put A Smile On Your Child's Face

This evening we are attending a special celebration gathering. Some worship, lots of great food and fellowship and of course all the kids will have a blast. All week long my daughter has been counting the days with great excitement about tonight's gathering. She's only five, yet she's so excited about attending tonight. Just the thought and excitement of attending has brought her happiness.

It's such a blessing to see children smile and filled with excitement and joy. Remember those days.
